The Power of Reflection
"Our ears are the gateway to our minds. What we hear shapes our thoughts, and our thoughts shape our lives."

Pieces in His Hands
There is a truth that is so difficult to comprehend, too vast to grasp alone and breathtaking when thought about for too long. This truth is the most astounding concept in which my own strength cannot embrace. This unfathomable truth I have come to learn, is my hope for each morning I wake to live another day.
In our broken humanness and weakness, God’s love sees us, holds us, prepares us, encourages us, and guides us with His light and His life as we sojourn this life. God’s love is boundless, reaching every aspect of our beings, His love has no limits. Our own strength is not sufficient to meet the demands of this life, nor our own persistence to conquer the ways of the enemy. Only God’s Hand can reach out to find us and pull us away from the distractions that pull us farther away from Him. God’s everlasting Love draws us back to Him and away from the assumptions of what should be, or what we should be. Closed doors are tools to guide our steps, just as the raging storms can purge and realign our priorities to God’s desire. A loud, gentle reminder that resting in the Maker’s arms can quench our thirst and settle our restless spirit. We should rejoice when agendas are altered or redirected, although this usually will cause much anxiety.
I recently had the chance to step away from the hustle and rush of daily schedules and appointments and focus on family and friends. It’s a pleasant blessing when my agenda is adjusted to enjoy conversation with loved ones, or even a stranger who needs a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. How pleasant it is to serve those in our community with compassion and caring. We are filled when we share our moments with others. Perhaps we can share a little more of ourselves with others versus so much time focused on ourselves and what tasks need to be completed for the day. God’s love reaches beyond our own appointments, and perhaps remembering the love He has for us, will encourage us to proclaim to everyone we come in contact with, the power of His Love. We are in desperate need for compassion and companionship and looking beyond ourselves will fill us greater than anything that we can accomplish on our own.
Romans 8:38-39
38 ”For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Acts 20:35
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

Believe
"Reflection is where growth begins."
Faith invites a quiet confidence that growth is possible, even when the path feels uncertain. Believing is not only trusting in what is unseen but also allowing the heart to open to transformation. Reflection becomes the soil where faith takes root and blossoms into understanding.
Be Still
"In stillness, clarity speaks."
Stillness is not emptiness—it is sacred space. When the noise of life fades, the whisper of divine truth becomes clear. In the quiet, peace unfolds, and the heart learns to listen.
Time to Pause
"Pause. Reflect. Become."
Moments of pause are gifts of grace. They remind the soul to breathe, to realign, and to remember purpose. Reflection in these pauses shapes who we are becoming—stronger, wiser, and more grounded in faith.
Wisdom
"Reflection turns experience into wisdom."
Every experience holds a lesson, but wisdom blooms only when reflection follows. Looking back with grace allows the heart to see God’s hand in every season. Through reflection, life’s moments—both joyful and painful—become stepping stones toward deeper understanding.
